H. R. Giger (Hans Rudolf Giger — Wikipedia entry and his official site), widely recognized as one of the greatest surrealists of the 20th century, has worked on movies such as Dune, Species, and Alien, for which he is most famous for, creating the “Alien” creature itself, a feat which gathered him an Academy Award in 1979.
