Based on the videogame World of Warcraft, as can be seen from the atlas.

for real, i knew the second i saw this that it was from wow
Actually, thats a goblin not an imp. The goblin is likely trying to steal tech from the gnome, as the two races are constantly locked in a battle to see which is better at engineering.
